The sparkfun unread email counter, google blocking access to account

Hi there,

I'm trying to replicate the sparkfun unread email counter project: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/galileo-unread-email-counter/the-arduino-sketch

Google keeps blocking the sketch from accessing my account due to "suspicious behavior" and so zero is displayed on the screen. Does anybody know a way around this?
